Umrah in the language: it is the visit and the intention, as for the ummrah according to law: it is to visit the Sacred House of Allah to perform worship to Allah Almighty, and it is based on Ihram, by circumambulating the House.
Running between Safa and Marwa, and fulfilling the required conditions before performing the hajj and umrah, such as shaving the hair or It is shortened, and the umrah 2022 is considered obligatory and legitimate, and this was the opinion of the scholars.
And the evidence for that is the Almighty’s saying: (And complete the hajj and umrah for Allah). There was another opinion that it is a Sunnah so that any capable Muslim can perform it once in his life or more.
This is according to his physical and financial capabilities and abilities. If he can perform it more than once, then this is something that belongs to him and is in the balance of his actions, and the ninth year of migration was the year in which umrah package
The hadiths also indicate the great virtue of umrah and the resulting reward, and ummrah does not have a specific and specific time for its performance, rather the individual can perform it at any time he wants and be ready for it during the year.
But he must know that he cannot perform it at the time of Hajj if He was not a pilgrim; Because this time is fixed for performing the Hajj, and the Haram is crowded with that.
how to perform umrah?
The rules for umrah and rituals include four main steps: Ihram, Circumambulation, Pursuit, and Throat or shortening to decompose from ihram
Here are the rituals in detail:
The first and most important stage is to actually enter into the performance of the ritual, and in order to deprive the individual of umrah, wash and be kind, and then wear the clothes of the Ihram.
Which is a white izara and robe, and the right shoulder appears only in the raft of coming, while the woman wears whatever clothes she wants without any decorations, then prays two rak’ahs, and intends to perform Umrah in Umrah.
Then he says, “Labbaik Umrah, Labbaik Allah Labbaik, Labbaik has no partner for you, praise and grace are yours and the king, no partner for you,”.
And the man raises his image of it, while the woman says it as much as he hears from her side only, and then they abound in fulfillment, and the male.
If the Mu’tamar arrives in Mecca, he enters the Grand Mosque with the right foot, and starts 7 rounds of rafting around the Holy Kaaba, starting with the black stone, saying “In the name of Allah and Allah is greater” and whenever he passes by it in each run.
And ends with it, receives the stone with his right hand and accepts it if possible, does not crowd it, or point to it from afar, and reminds Allah and calls him what he wants.
If he reaches the right corner, he receives it without kissing, and if it is not possible for him, he does not crowd it out and does not refer to it, and says between him and the black stone, “Our Lord has come to us in the world as good and in the afterlife as good and we have suffered the torment of fire.”
During the circumambulation, the man does two things, the first is “the impression” of showing the right shoulder, and the second is “sand” which is to speed up walking with the approach of the steps during the first three runs, and in the rest, he walks as usual.
After completing the circumambulation, he advances towards the shrine of Abraham and reads “They took the place of Abraham as a prayer”, then prays behind him two rak’ahs and reads the surahs “The Unbelievers” and “Al-Ikhlas” after the Fatihah, although not possible anywhere in the Grand Mosque.
Then the Mu’tamar goes out to seek from the door of Safa and ascends on it in the future of the Kaaba, and reads “Safa and Marwa are rituals of Allah…” At the end of the verse.
He raises his hands in prayer and praises Allah and magnifies him, and says “There is no god but Allah alone, he fulfilled his promise.
And the victory of his slave, and he defeated the parties alone,” and repeats it three times, and there is nothing wrong if it is limited to less than that.
Then he descends from Safa to Marwa on foot, and if he reaches the green flags, he accelerates his walk “jogging” and this is for men only, and walks as usual when reaching the second flag, and repeats the command in each run.
And climbs on Marwa and says what he said on Safa, and calculates the run from Safa to Marwa and vice versa counts another run and says in pursuit what is possible from the remembrance and dua or reading of the Qur’an.
4- Throat or shortening to decompose from ihram
If he completes his quest, the man shaves his head or shortens, even if a woman shortens the ends of her hair as much as an ant on all sides of the head.
Thus, ummrah has been completed, and the entire Ihram will be dissolved, the prohibitions will be lifted, and the clothes, the tayeb, the nikah, and so on will be dissolved for him.
Visit the Prophet’s Mosque
Visiting the Mosque of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in Medina is not from hajj and umrah, where the Mu’tamar goes to Medina before or after performing the rituals.
With the intention of visiting the Prophet’s Mosque and praying in it, because it is better than a thousand prayers in all but the Grand Mosque.
If you arrive at the mosque, two rak’ahs are separated from the mosque’s greeting or the obligatory prayer if it has been erected, and then go to the tomb of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and say to him, “Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy and blessings of Allah.”
Then take two steps to your right hand to stand in front of the tomb of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), saying, “Peace be upon you, Abu Bakr.
The caliph of the Messenger of Allah and the mercy and blessings of Allah, may Allah be pleased with you and reward you for the nation of Muhammad Khaira.”
He then took two steps to stand in front of the tomb of Farouk Omar ibn al-Khattab, “may Allah be pleased with him,” saying, “Peace be upon you, Omar, the emir of the faithful, and the mercy and blessings of Allah may Allah be pleased with you and reward you for the nation of Muhammad Khaira.”
how many days is umrah?
Two studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia revealed that “the total average time for performing ummrah from the beginning of the circumambulation to the end of the pilgrimage was 75 minutes’ ‘ this year, according to researchers’ follow-up to the behavior of a sample of 3,275 pilgrims.
how long does it take to perform umrah?
Trip to umrah group doesn’t take many days unlike Hajj, so let’s find out how to perform Umrah in order:
The most complete thing in Umrah is that the intention is from the person’s country, i.e. he originally leaves the town of Umrah.
A man came to Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, and he said, “You have seen the words of Allah the Almighty (and they have completed the hajj and umrah to Allah) and he said: You shall be deprived of the circle of your family. Narrated by Ibn Abi Shaybah.
Secondly: whoever wants umrah if he arrives at the miqat shall be allowed to clean and wash, then moisturize and then wear his haram, and not touch his haram with kindness.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I have blessed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) with these two hands when I am forbidden, and to dissolve him when he is dissolved before he wanders. Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.
It does not hurt the mahram to find the smell of the good after his haram, nor to drip sweat with the effect of the good.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: It is as if I am looking at the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) at the junction of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), which is forbidden. Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.
He then prays two rak’ahs before his haraam, and then he meets with Umrah, and says: Labbaik Umrah, this is if he passes through one of the known times, but if he does not pass it he does so when aligning the timetables.
If he passes by the plane, he may wash before boarding the plane, and wear the clothes of the ihram, and then if he follows the miqat he meets the umrah.
Thirdly: If he is forbidden by Umrah, he will work by mentioning Allah, and he will avoid what the mahram avoids, from the good and shaving the hair, and from the rafth, which is intercourse and its introductions, the mahram avoids language, insults, and insults.
Fourthly: If he enters Mecca, the Sunnah is to start with the raft, unless he is tired, he may rest or sleep, but he does not cover his head and does not touch the good, and the marriage does not bring his family closer.
When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to Mecca, he descended with the bravest, and then he became in it, and the slowest within the boundaries of the Haram, when he became a bather, he entered Mecca.
If a Muslim arrives in Mecca tired and then takes the initiative to spend umrah, he will spend it without the presence of a heart, and do not slow down and perform, but rather hasten in it in the desire to rest or to seek rest.
Fifthly: If he arrives at the Haram he says a prayer to enter the mosque when he enters the Kaaba Mosque, and the dua to say: O Allah, open the doors of your mercy to me.
The ancestor proved the dua when seeing the Kaaba; it came about: ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), about Sa’id ibn al-Musayyib, and about Yahya ibn Said: they said about the vision of the Kaaba: “Oh Allah, you are peace, and from your peace, so we greeted our Lord with peace, and here is peace.” Narrated by Abu Shaybah’s son.
Then he turns to the black stone and receives it and kisses it if he can and then prints, which is to take out his right shoulder, put the robe from under his right armpit, and his tip on his left shoulder.
In the ummrah Tour, it is advisable for the Mu’tamar to speed up the walk in the first three runs, which is called (sand).
If he reaches the right corner – which is the corner that accepted the black stone – he receives it, and it is not legitimized to accept his hand nor to accept the right corner, If he cannot receive the right corner, he does not refer to it.
He says between the right corner and the black stone: Our Lord has come to us in this world as good and in the afterlife as good and we have suffered the torment of fire.
It is desirable that he roam in complete purity, and because he will pray two rak’ahs if he finishes his raft he will be in need of purity.
The circumambulation begins from the alignment of the black stone, and it is not a condition that the stone is met with its face, nor that it stands, the alignment is intended to be, to be straight with the black stone, that is, parallel to it.
If it is not a crowd, then the Sunnah is to receive the black stone, and accept it if he cannot point to it, and he goes on.
He grows up at the beginning of each run, points with his right hand and not with both hands, and says if he receives the black stone: O Allah, believing in you and believing in your book and the Sunnah of your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
He does this until he roams seven runs, he makes the Kaaba on his left, even if it is portable, then after the end of the seven-run circumambulation, he prays two rak’ahs.
In the first he reads in Surah al-Kafiroon and in the second in Surat al-Ikhlas These two rak’ahs are prayed behind the shrine of Abraham if it is available, if it is not possible or if there is a crowd, and prays anywhere in the sanctuary.
He then receives the black stone if it becomes available to him, then he goes to Safa, and if he ascends him and recites this verse (Safa and Marwa are rituals of Allah.
It is from the pilgrimage of the house or the pilgrimage of the house, there is no pavilion that has to roam with them, and whoever volunteers for good, Allah is thankful for his knowledge).
Then he grows up three and then says what was said about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) went out of the door to Safa, and when we came from Safa he read:
(Safa and Marwa are rituals of Allah), and then he said: I start with what Allah began with, and he started with Safa and dispersed me until he saw the house and received the qibla and Allah united and grew up, and said:
There is no god except Allah alone and has no partner, he has the king and his praise, and he is on all things almighty, there is no god but Allah alone, he fulfilled his promise, He won his slave, defeated the parties alone, then called between it like this three times.
And then went down to Marwa even if his feet were erected in the belly of the valley he sought even if they went up walking until Marwa came, so he did on Marwa as he did on Safa even if his last raft was on Marwa.
As in the hadith of Jaber (may Allah be pleased with him) in the adjective of the Prophet’s Hajjah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the hadith is narrated by a Muslim.
His departure from Safa to Marwa is considered a run, and his return from Marwa to Safa is a run, until he is seven runs, and ends with Marwa.
Then the man shortens all his head or shaves, and the throat is better, It does not divide him to take some hairs from the ends of his hair with scissors.
But rather to generalize the hair by shortening, A woman falls short as much as an ant (the tip) of the tip of the finger, Thus, Umrah has been completed.
At last: As for the prayer in the circumambulation or in the quest for him to call for what he wants from the goodness of the world and the afterlife, and to remind Allah.
If a woman is forbidden, she does not wear the niqab but rather wears robes on her face if she is in the presence of foreign men, as the women of the companions and followers did. And the forbidden woman does not wear gloves.
Can a girl go for Umrah alone?
It is not permissible for a woman to travel alone, rather it is necessary to have a mahram or a husband with her because he, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel the journey of one day and one night except with a mahram on her. Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, and for his saying, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him:
A man is not alone with a woman without a mahram with her, and a woman does not travel without a mahram. Bukhari and Muslim. These two hadiths from the hadiths of the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, indicate that it is forbidden for a woman to travel without a mahram.
Rather, some jurists, such as the Malikis and Shafi’is, authorize the travel of a safe woman with a safe companion in Hajj without a mahram, because it is an obligation, so they established companionship in this place of the forbidden, and Umrah according to the Malikis is not obligatory at all.
Is there any age limit for Umrah?
The best time for umrah and the best month for umrah is not limited to a specific time in addition ummrah is not imposed on any age group from the beginning, but the jurists differed in their ruling.
But due to the current conditions that the country is going through from the outbreak of epidemics, the age allowed to perform umrah 2022 is seven years or more.
Can you do Umrah instead of Hajj?
There is no doubt that the reward of umrah does not modify the reward of Hajj, but Hajj is definitely better than ummrah, as Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam, and a trip to umrah is different in its face, and it is well known in the correct hadith that approaching the ordinances.
Is loved to Allah the Almighty than to draw closer to others, and it is mentioned from the texts in the reward of Hajj, unless it is mentioned in the reward of umrah 2022, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
A justified pilgrimage has no penalty other than paradise. Agreed, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever makes a pilgrimage does not flinch and does not forfeit and returns from his sins as the day his mother gave birth to him. Agreed.
There is nothing in the virtue of umrah group that says that a person who has been baptized has returned from his sins as the day his mother gave birth to him, but only that she is atonement for sins.
As he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Umrah to Umrah is an atonement for each other. Agreed, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Perpetuate hajj and umrah, they deny poverty and sins just as al-Kiir denies the malice of iron. Take it out of Tirmidhi.
As for the sins from which the slave repented, Allah forgives the slave by repenting, for the penitent of guilt is like the one who has no guilt. As in the hadith al-Hasan directed by Ibn Majeh.
In the atonement of the Hajj for the sins of which the slave did not repent of the disagreement among the scholars, and as for the virtue of ummrah in Ramadan, there is no doubt that its virtue is great, and it is enough for the Prophet.
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to say: umrah in Ramadan modifies an argument. And in the novel: With Me. Take it out of the steamer. This is not to say that it modifies the reward of the pilgrimage from every face.
In the matter of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, the narration of Abu Ya’qub al-Kusaj said: Who said: ‘Umrah in Ramadan modifies an argument that proved him?’ He said, “Yes, he is proven.”
Isaac said: It is proved as he said, and it’s meaning: to write to him as a wage an argument, and never to follow the pilgrim. All over.
Isaac ibn Rahwiyah said: The meaning of this hadith – meaning hadith: umrah in Ramadan modifies an argument – like what was narrated about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that he said: Whoever reads: Say is Allah is one, he has read a third of the Qur’an. All over.
Some scholars have brought this hadith to the privacy of that woman, including Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, who said: It is known that his intention: that your ummrah in Ramadan modifies an argument with me.
She had wanted to make a pilgrimage with him, so it was impossible for her, so he told her what is the place of that, and so who was in her status from the companions.
And no sane person says what some ignorant people think that the umrah 2022 of one of us from the miqat or from Mecca modifies an argument with him, it is known that having to do that complete pilgrimage is better than a trip to umrah Ramadan, and one of us.
If the pilgrimage of the imposed pilgrimage was not the same as the pilgrimage with him, then how about Umrah!! The purpose of the hadith is that the Umrah of one of us in a Ramadan of the miqat is an argument.
How many Umrah can you do in a day?
This is not the work of the righteous ancestor, so the Sunnah did not want to repeat the age more than once in one day because of its hardship, and it is better to leave it because of the hardship and the crowding out of people.
Especially at the time of the Hajj at the time of crowding, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Umrah to Umrah is an atonement for each other, and the justified pilgrimage has no penalty except paradise.
So his will (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: Umrah to Umrah is an atonement for what is between them and Allah knows what it means: on a face where there is no hardship or harm to people.
And for this reason, the ancestors did not do so, the ancestors did not go through two umrahs a day or a night, but there was some time between them.
It is better and better that he leaves Umrah at the time of crowding if it is the capacity of umrah according to the facilitation without doing so repeatedly every day, but there is a space between them as the ancestors used to do.
And carries the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): ummrah to umrah is an atonement for what is between them on the usually known thing that has some separation between them.
Sometimes every week of Umrah, or every month of umrah, or every text of the month of umrah or so without follow-up per day, especially When there are many pilgrims, this makes it difficult for the people a lot.
And the companions and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not go to ummrah after they finished the Hajj, but when he finished the Hajj and said goodbye to him on the night of fourteen and then left Mecca.
Then traveled to Medina (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and did not repeat ummrah, and so the companions of what they came from umrah in the four Dhu al-Hijjah did not inform us that any of them went to umrah 2022 in those four days of ummrah second, they did not inform us of this and if they did so to transfer us to Muslims.
As a result, there is no objection to repeating umrah in the month once or a week, but on a face that does not harm pilgrims, does not hardship the people, does not make a hardship on the Mu’tamar himself, but rather observes the legal ethics followed by the ancestor of the nation.
What DUAS to read during Umrah?
Many of the duas and adhkars were received from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), including these supplications and adhkars that are correctly attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and the dua and remembrance of all the usual supplications that originate from his heart and mind.
So he calls for what he loves and asks Allah what he wants, and reminds him of any mention he wants as long as he is fixed about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
And from the supplications, adhkars, and commandments that are proven true about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) the following:
- It is permissible for the Mu’tamar to begin the circumambulation with takbeer: it is proved from the hadith of Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) roamed the house while he was on a camel, whenever he came to the corner he pointed to him with something in his hand and grew older).
- Some scholars said: It is advisable for the Mu’tamar if he wants to receive the black stone and start the circumambulation to say: “In the name of Allah, and Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest.
Allah has faith in you and belief in your book, and in fulfillment of your covenant, and following the Sunnah of your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and he may repeat this rose whenever he reaches the alignment of the black stone.
- To call upon the Mu’tamar saying: “Allah forgive and have mercy, and pardon what you have learned, and you are the dearest and most gracious, Allah our Lord has come to us in the world as good and in the hereafter as good, and we have suffered the torment of fire”.
And it has been narrated about Shafi’i, may Allah have mercy on him, that he said in love what is said during the circumambulation of the Mu’tamar is his saying: “Allah has come to us in the world as good and in the afterlife as good and we have inflicted the torment of fire.”

During the circumambulation
if it is between the right corner and the black stone, it is permissible for the Mu’tamar to call, saying:
- “Our Lord has come to us in this world as good and in the afterlife as good, and we have suffered the torment of fire.”
- Oh Allah, praise be to you, praise be to you, praise be to you, and reward you more, praise you with all your praise what I have learned from them and what I have not known.
For all your blessings what I have learned from them and what I have not taught, and in any case, Allah pray and peace be upon Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad.
- Allah excuses me from the godly Satan, and excuse me from all evil, and convince me of what you have given me and bless me in it, Allah makes me the one who honors your delegation to you and obliges me to the path of righteousness.
- Until I meet you, Lord of the Worlds, and then call for what I love.
- O Lord, I came to you from a distant apartment, hoping for your favor, and I receive favor from you, by which you will enrich me from a favor other than you, who is known by virtue.
- O Lord, lift from us the weight of our sins, forgive us, open to us the doors of your grace and mercy, have mercy on us, give us and lift us from a position of humiliation to a position of pride.
- Oh, Allah, land for us and land for our parents, and our mothers are satisfied with the mosques of your grace, benevolence, and generosity.
- Allah treats us with what you are his parents and do not treat us with what we are his parents, and gives us above our hopes that we ask for and make the demands high, and make us high grades.
- O Allah, lift up our remembrance in whom you have raised his memory, and our destiny in whom you have raised his destiny, and explain our breasts with what you have explained to the chest of your Prophet, an explanation with which we can rest assured of your worship.
- O Lord, do not deprive us of the good that you have for the evil of what we have, O Lord, heal our hearts from diseases, our tongues from the ungodly, our souls from envy, and make us stand up for the truth.
Supplications of the quest between Safa and Marwa
It is permissible for a Muslim in the quest to preach whatever he wants, including:
- “Safa and Marwa are rituals of Allah from the pilgrimage of the house or the pilgrimage, there is no pavilion that has to roam with them, and whoever volunteered for good.
- Allah is thankful to Aleem”, and then complies with the situation of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in his quest where it is proved that he read the previous verse and then said:
- ( I start with what Allah started with, and He started with Safa, I dispersed over Him until He saw the house and received the kiss, and Allah united Him, and He grew up, and He said:
- There is no Allah but Allah alone, He has no partner, He has the King and His praise and He is for everything almighty, there is no Allah but Allah alone, He fulfilled His promise, and the victory of His servant, and He defeated the parties alone.
- And then He called in between, He said like this three times, and then He went down to Marwa, even if His feet were set in the belly of the valley He sought, even if they climbed on a walk, even if He came. Marwa did on Marwa as he did on Safa…)
- As long as the Mu’tamar has read those adhkars and supplications or something of them, he may call in the tawaf and in the quest between Safa and Marwa with what he loves and what he wants for what is good for him in the world and in the hereafter.
- And if he doesn’t call for those supplications and calls for whatever he wants from the supplications, it is also permissible to do so but to enact preoccupation with the fixed commandments about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
- Then he may also if he does not have a dua in his mind and wants to be preoccupied with mentioning, to read the Qur’an, he is the greatest of the remembrances, And I pay him a wage.
- Oh, Allah, make us infallible by your religion, your obedience, and the obedience of your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and spare us your limits, Allah makes us love you and your angels, prophets, and messengers, and love your righteous servants.
- Allah loves us to you and to your angels and to your prophets and messengers, and to your righteous servants, Allah makes us happy for the left, and spare us the left, and forgive us in the brotherhood.
- The first and the first, and make us one of the pious imams, O O heartbreaker, fix my heart on your religion.
- O Lord, I ask you the obligations of your mercy, the resolve of your forgiveness, safety from all sin, winning paradise, and surviving the fire.
- Oh God, I ask you of all the good that I have learned from it and what I have not taught, and I will come back to you from all the evil that I have learned from it and what I have not taught.
- And I ask you from heaven and what is close to it in words or deeds, and I will come back to you from the fire and what is close to it in words or deeds.
How much does an Umrah cost?
Umrah package from Holland or Germany, its peak time is every year from the beginning of the month of Safar to the end of Ramadan.
And the umrah cost of the trip of a lifetime ranges between 1000 – 1900 euros, depending on its timing! It rises if it coincides with a holiday in Germany, as the prices of plane tickets rise at these times and fall outside it.
difference between hajj and umrah
1- The difference between Hajj and Umrah in terms of definition
Allah (the Almighty) has legislated for Muslims to perform the rituals of hajj and umrah, and this article will be devoted to talking about these two worships, where a comparison will be made between hajj and umrah, and accordingly the reader will find a statement of their definition and rule.
The place and time of both worships, as well as the duration of their performance and the remuneration resulting from each, and at the end of this article the reader will find the differences between hajj and umrah in terms of conditions.
2- The difference between Hajj and Umrah in terms of judgment
The following is an illustration of the difference between hajj and umrah in terms of their respective rulings: Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, as evidenced by the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him),
(Islam is built on five: a testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and the establishment of prayer, the giving of zakat, the pilgrimage, and the fasting of Ramadan), which is the duty of everyone who can Muslim and Muslim once in a lifetime.
What is adopted in the Jordanian Fatwa Department is the umrah hypothesis on every Muslim, but it must be noted that the views of the four imams have varied in their judgment, and the following is the statement of the views of each sect:
Hanafiya and Malikiyah: ummrah is a confirmed year for a Muslim once in a lifetime. Shafi’iya and Hanbala: Umrah imposes an eye on every Muslim man and woman once in a lifetime.
3- The difference between Hajj and Umrah in terms of place and time
There are no differences between hajj and umrah in terms of place; both worships are performed in the Sacred House, as for time, the difference between the two worships is as follows: The worship of Hajj is performed in the holy months, namely:
Shawwal, Dhu al-Qa’da and Dhu al-Hijjah. Umrah worship is performed at any time of the year. The difference between hajj and umrah in terms of the duration of performance after a long search in books and reliable sites, it has not been found the duration of the performance of Hajj and Umrah.
But the difference between them in duration can be shown by studying how and when to worship the two worships, and in the following is that Hajj: since the rituals of Hajj are in excess of the rituals of Umrah, and there are some rituals that need an entire day.
It can be said that the duration of the performance of the Hajj needs a period of no less than the duration of the Hajj Three days for those who forbid the day of Arafah and finish the Hajj work on the first day of exile, and may need more.
Umrah: Umrah does not need a long time to finish its rituals, but a Muslim can perform it within an hour or two.
4- The difference between Hajj and Umrah in terms of remuneration
is that the remuneration of Hajj differs from Umrah in the following: Hajj: The Holy Sharia arranged a great wage for the Hajj, and in this paragraph the statement of this remuneration:
It is one of the best offerings of Allah (the Almighty) and the proof of this is the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Which work is better? Then what? He said: Jihad for the sake of Allah was said:
Then what? He said: “Hajj is justified” that the justified pilgrimage has no penalty except paradise, as evidenced by the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “The justified pilgrimage has no penalty except paradise.”
The justified pilgrimage is a reason for the forgiveness of sins and the proof of this is the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Whoever makes a pilgrimage to Allah does not flutter.
And does not forgive, he returns as the day his mother gave birth to him.” Umrah in the month of Ramadan al-Fadil modifies Hajjah.
Is evidenced by what was narrated about Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), where he said: “When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) returned from his argument.
He said to Um Sinan al-Ansariyah: What prevented you from making the pilgrimage? J is our land. He said: Umrah in Ramadan is an argument – or an argument with me).
5- The difference between Hajj and Umrah in terms of conditions
There are no differences between hajj and umrah in terms of conditions, both worships are required to have the same conditions, which number five conditions, and the following conditions are mentioned:
Islam: This condition is a condition for the validity of hajj and umrah, since both worships do not qualify for the infidel. Reason: This condition is also a condition of validity, as the worship of hajj and umrah does not awaken from the madman.
Puberty: As for the condition of puberty, it is a condition of parts, not validity; where the worship of hajj and umrah is valid for the boy but it is not divided from him and he must make the pilgrimage again after reaching adulthood.
As evidenced by the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Whatever boy is a pilgrim, and then he has reached perfidy, he must make another pilgrimage.”
In the event that they were arrested, they must make the pilgrimage again, as evidenced by what was narrated about Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), where he said: “And whatever slave is a pilgrim and then he is arrested.
He must make another pilgrimage.” Ability: The proof of this condition is his saying, Almighty: (In it are the verses of the evidence of the shrine of Abraham and whoever entered it was safe and to Allah, the people have to make the pilgrimage to the house of those who were able to make a way to it).
And it must be pointed out that the pilgrim or the Mu’tamar must meet some of the conditions to be called able, and the following are mentioned these conditions:
- To have a safe body from diseases that may hinder him from the work of pilgrimage.
- That he has enough money and provisions to perform his Hajj or Umrah until he returns.
- To be safe for himself and his money on the road and at the time of performing the rituals.
- That the woman be accompanied by a mahram or a husband, and the evidence for that is the saying of the Messenger of Allah – may Allah prayers and peace be upon him-: (A woman should not travel three unless she is accompanied by a Mahram).
To summarise, the scholars unanimously agreed on the legality and virtue of umrah, and they differed on its obligation, so the two imams, Abu Hanifa and Malik – said that it is a recommended Sunnah and not an obligatory one. ?
He said: No, and that you perform ummrah is better. However, this hadith is weak, and it was classed as weak by al-Shafi’i, Ibn Abd al-Barr, Ibn Hajar, and al-Nawawi.
The two Imams Al-Shafi’i and Ahmad went to the fact that it is obligatory, and this saying was chosen by Imam Al-Bukhari, and that it is obligatory for a person once in a lifetime.
He said: Yes, they have a jihad that does not include hajj and umrah. Al-Nawawi said in Al-Majmoo’ (7/4): Its chain of narrators is authentic according to the conditions of Al-Bukhari and Muslims.
Finally, it is prescribed for a Muslim to perform some acts of worship; The desire to get closer to Allah Almighty, and there is nothing more important than performing the umrah for a Muslim in getting closer to Allah; Where the servant reaches the highest levels of closeness to Allah and feels that with his work, soul, and heart. Until his ummrah is valid.
