Surah insan is one of the Qur’anic surahs that scholars differed about its name. In the era of the Companions – may Allah be pleased with them – it was called by the name of Surah Has it come to man in reference to the opening of the surah:

Did there come upon man a time of eternity when nothing was mentioned?” It was also called an abbreviation. surah al insan

is known in some Qur’anic books as Surah Ad-Dahr because of the word Ad-Dahr in its first verse, and it is called Surat Al-Amashaj because this word appears in its verse.

And it is not mentioned elsewhere in the Qur’an: This verse is the subject of the link between al insan and the previous Surah Al-Qiyamah, which concluded its verses by talking about the creation of man from a sperm.

Insan surah is also called Surat Al-Abrar because of the verses talking about the righteous and what awaits them of bliss in the Gardens. About a person and his conditions since he was a gamete in his mother’s womb.

Then what he encounters in his life in this world and following one of the two paths: guidance or misguidance, his arrival to the afterlife, and what awaits him in it of bliss or hell.

why was surah insan revealed?

There is no one reason for the revelation of surah al insaan, but rather the reasons for the descent of various verses, including the following:

“Did he come upon man when he was from eternity?”

The reason for the descent of ya ayyuhal insan ma gharraka surah states that Aliyah (may Allah be pleased with him) was the most worshipped of the people: fasting by day, rising at night, from which people learned the prayer of the night, and the Nawafil of the day.

And the most worships and supplications proverbial about him absorb time and did not disturb the night prayer – even on the night of the kitten. Ibn Abbas said: I saw him in his war watching the sun, and I said: O Commander of the Faithful, what are you doing?

He said, “Look at the demise to pray.” And I said, “At this time?” He said, “We are fighting them for prayer.” He did not lose sight of the act of worship at the earliest time in the most difficult times.

He combined prayer and zakat, and believed while kneeling, and Allah the Almighty revealed in him a Qur’an that reads: “Did he come upon man when from the age?”

“And they feed food on his love, poor and orphaned and captive”

About Ibn ‘Abbas in his saying: “And they feed food on his love poor and orphaned and captive”, and then he mentioned what it contained: that Hassan and Hussein were sick.

And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned to them, and the common Arabs returned to them, and they said to Ali: If I vow! Ali said.

“They were innocent of what they had been silent for three days. Fatima said so, and she said silver as well, and Allah clothed them with wellness, and they had schizophrenia.

Ali went and borrowed from Shimon al-Khaybari three brightest barleys, and they prepared from him that night a roar, and when they put him in their hands for dinner, he stood at the door and asked, and said.

“Feed the poor, Allah will feed you at the tables of paradise.” So he ordered them to me, and they gave him that food, and they folded, because it was the second night they made the other rod for them, and when they put it in their hands, a liquid stood up and said.

“Feed the orphan, and they gave him that and folded, and when it was the third night, he said, ‘Feed the captive, and they gave him, and they folded three days and three nights.’ These verses were revealed to them.

what is surah insan about?

The purposes of the Al-Insan are generally manifested in the statement of the state of man, Allah (SWT) began the Surah by introducing man and how to create him by saying:

“Did he come upon man when from time immemorial it was nothing mentioned * We created man from the sperm of gametes that we swallow and we made him hear insights”?

In his intention to show man that for a while he did not exist and that Allah with his power and greatness created him and gave him from his graces such as hearing, sight, and others.

And then continued by saying: “We gave him the way, either thankful or infidel,” that after man created him, he taught, guided, and guided him to the right way, and then he was either thankful or worshiped to Allah or an infidel.

And this is one of the purposes of surah insaan, that man’s infidelity or goodness is by the choice of his own making, and therefore Allah will hold him accountable for every small and big thing.

One of the purposes of surah insaan is that Allah, the Almighty, addressed His servants in a manner of encouragement and intimidation, at times mentioning the punishment and torment He had prepared for the unbelievers by saying:

“We have prepared for the unbeliever’s chains, shackles, and shackles.” At times He mentions the attributes of paradise that He has prepared for righteous Muslims and His faithful servants.

“The righteous drink from a cup whose temperament was camphor * an eye with which to drink.” The servants of Allah blow it up}, with the intention of guiding people to the right path either out of fear of Allah and His punishment or out of foresight and longing for His reward and paradises.

It is also clear from the purposes of surah insan that Allah (SWT) wanted to define the righteous in some detail and made him describe them and describe their actions by saying: “They fulfill the vow and fear a day when his evil was underway* and feed on his love as a poor orphan and a captive.”

Then he described their condition in the paradises of the mole with which Allah (Almighty) rewarded them for their patience, benevolence, and faith, and he said, “Jal.”And Ala-: {Reclining in them on the sofas, they do not see in the sun or a zamharira}, and also described them in his saying:

“And if you see and then you see a bliss and a great king * Above them are the garments of a green sondos and a lightning and they have dissolved bracelets of silver and their Lord has watered them with a purified drink.”

He has shown – blessed and exalted – that this is the case of those who were among his servants a patient believes Cora.

As for the last purpose of surah al insan, it was to emphasize that the way to win the paradises of bliss is to worship Allah alone, to draw closer to Him, to pray to Him, remember Him, and perpetuate praise, prostration, praise, and forgiveness.

He said: “And remember the name of your Lord with a reel and authenticity, and from the night worship Him and praise Him for a long night.” Then He sealed the Surah as He began it as He is the Creator of Man and the Marsh.

Whoever follows his guidance has won in the world and the hereafter, but those who have gone astray, disbelieved, and arrogant have hell and the misery of fate, and this is what he has shown – Jal and Ula – in saying:

“We created them and tightened their families, and if we want to replace their likes, if we want to replace them with a change, whoever wants to take to 0 his Lord a way * and what you want is that Allah wills that Allah was wise * He enters whoever he wants into his mercy and the oppressors prepare a painful torment for them.”

Thus Allah affirms that Almighty Allah guides whomever He desires and brings Him into His mercy and that whoever oppresses Himself, disbelieves, and is arrogant, Allah has prepared a painful torment for Him.

where was surah insan revealed?

The majority were of the view that the surah insaan was Meccan, i.e. it was revealed to the Messenger of Allah – may Allah bless him and grant him peace – in Mecca.

While Qatada and Mujahid held that the surah was Medinan, i.e. it was revealed in Medina, with the exception of one verse of it that was revealed in Mecca, which is the Almighty’s saying:

{So be patient for the judgment of your Lord. And do not obey a sinner or unbeliever among them} It was said that the surah is Meccan, except for that verse itself, which is civil.

when was surah insan revealed?

Insan surah was revealed after surah Rahman and before surah talak.

why the surah was named Al-Insan?

Surah insan was named by this name because its verses began with the mention of man, and Allah Almighty created him and created him from nothingness after the universe was devoid of everything.

And nothing existed in it, then Allah Almighty created him, and created for him everything in the universe. To make it subject to him of plants, animals, treasures, minerals, and others.

Surah al insan was called by other names mentioned by the commentators, and one of its names is “Has he come upon man”, and that is because the Prophet – may Allah pray.

And peace be upon him – named it in the hadith that Muslims brought out: The revelation of “Al-Sajdah” and “Did it come.

To man at a certain time of age”), and it is also called by other names in relation to some of the words in it, namely: Surah Al-Dahr, Surat Al-Abrar, and Al-Amshaj.

what is the main theme of surah Al-Insan?

The overall purposes of al insan are to intimidate man with what the last resurrection showed by offering to the religious king by torturing the disobedient in the fire and softening the obedient in paradise.

After collecting all the creatures of man, angels, elves, and other animals, they have positions throughout the world, horrors, and earthquakes.

Each of which is of the greatest importance, and the evidence of this man is by contemplating his verse and contemplating his principle and purpose.

The purposes of insan surah have included some directives that define the straight path of believers and these directives are:

  • The obligation to spend for the sake of Allah: Allah (Allah and Allah) stated that one of the characteristics of the righteous is that they spend and feed food for love in and for Allah’s sake.
  • And thus believers must spend and feed for Allah’s sake, He said: “And they feed food on His love poor, orphaned and captive.”

The work must be faithful to Allah (Almighty).

  • The Holy Verses urged that the intention must be faithful and that all that the slave does is to please Allah without waiting for thanks from any of his servants, in his saying, “We feed you to the face of Allah, we do not want you to be rewarded or complained.”
  • The obligation to fulfill the vow: The Holy Verses have shown that one of the characteristics of righteous believers is that they fulfill their vows, for the Almighty said: “They fulfill the vow and fear a day when evil is underway.”
  • The Holy Verses showed the preference for feeding food and for man to give others what he loves in order to seek remuneration and reward from Allah (Almighty), to enter Paradise on the Day of Judgment.
  • And to be blessed with all the kinds of bliss that the Messenger of Allah told of from what no eye saw, no ear heard, and no danger to the heart of human beings.
  • The verses mentioned the period during which Allah created Adam (peace be upon him), and Allah commanded His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to be patient and to rise up to Allah.
  • And mentioned what Allah preferred to the servants of their creation and tightness in their creation, and entrusted the whole matter to the will of Allah (SWT), and he said: “Whoever he wishes enters into his mercy and the oppressors prepare for them a painful torment.”

surah insan benefits

In ya ayyuhal insan ma gharraka surah, there are many benefits and lessons that benefit man in his life and actions and determine the right path for him to reach the goal and purpose of every believer, and one of the lessons learned from surah insan is the following:

1- The obligation to spend for the sake of Allah reminded Allah – both Allah and Allah – that one of the characteristics of the righteous is that they spend and feed food for love in Allah and for Him.

And thus believers must spend and feed for the sake of Allah, he said: {And they feed food on his love poor and orphaned and captive}.

2- The work must be faithful to Allah – the Almighty – the Holy Verses urged that the intention must be faithful and that all that the slave does is to please Allah without waiting for thanks from any of his servants.

In saying – Glory and Allah – “But we feed you to the face of Allah and we do not want you to be rewarded or complained.”

3- The noble verses have shown that one of the characteristics of righteous believers is that they fulfill their vows, for the Almighty said: “They fulfill the vow and fear a day when evil was underway.”

4- The obligation to perpetuate the adhkars, Allah (blessed and exalted) has commanded Muslims to continue to pray, perform worship and maintain the adhkars of praise, praise.

And lullaby, by saying: “And mention the name of your Lord with a reel and authenticity* and from the night worship him and praise him for a long night.”

5- The surah begins with a question and a question whose purpose is to provoke the mind because is it here used for the news and not for negation, such as for the father to say to his son who raised him?

6- Man gets used to human speech and is not affected by it with time, but the words of God every time leave a trace in the soul, and with every clarification in the verses of Allah the Almighty to believers and their qualities the effect in souls towards the consolation of those qualities deepens.

7- The spiritual effect of mentioning the exploits and qualities of the people of faith, and the desire to imitate them.

8- A determination of the will of God alone Almighty, and the acknowledgment of His power in the universe.

9- Affirmation of Allah’s oneness and creation of all that is in existence.

10- Whenever a verse passes and trusts and supports others in souls not to follow anything other than the path of Islam.

11- The mention of the people of Paradise and their ornaments and clothes pushes the soul to yearn for it and work to follow the method that leads to it.

surah insan Tafseer

The Tafseer of the surah al insan is generally manifested in the statement of the state of man, Allah (SWT) began the surah by introducing man and how to create him by saying: “Did he come upon man when from time immemorial it was nothing mentioned *

We created man from the sperm of gametes that we swallow and we made him hear insight”, in his intention to show man that for a while he did not exist and that Allah with his power and greatness created him and gave him from his graces such as hearing, sight, and others.

He then continued by saying: “We have given him the way either thankfully or as an infidel,” that is, after man created him, he taught him, guided him, and guided him to the right way, and then he was either thankful and worshiped to Allah or an infidel.

And this is one of the purposes of al insan, that man’s infidelity or goodness is by choice of his own making, and therefore Allah will hold him accountable for every small and big thing.

Allah, the Almighty, addressed His servants in the manner of encouragement and intimidation, at times mentioning the punishment and torment He had prepared for the unbelievers by saying: “We have prepared chains, shackles, and sa’ira for the unbelievers”.

And at times He mentions the attributes of paradise that He has prepared for the righteous Muslims and His faithful servants, He said: “The righteous drink from a cup whose temperament was unfortunate * An eye with which the servants of Allah drink and blow it up}.

With the intention of guiding people to the right path either out of fear of Allah and His punishment or as a proclamation. And longing for his reward and his cheeks.

It is also clear from the purposes of Surah insan that Allah (swt) wanted to introduce the righteous in some detail and made him describe them and describe their actions by saying:

“They fulfill the vow and fear a day when his evil was undermined * and feed food on 0 his love poor and orphaned and captive”, and then he described their situation in the paradises of the mole.

With which Allah (Almighty) rewarded them for their patience, benevolence, and faith, and he said, “Jal and Ala”: “Reclining in them on the sofas, they do not see in them a sun or a zamharir.”

And also described them in his saying: “And if you see then you see bliss and a great king* above them.

The clothes of Sondos were green and Istbarq and they dissolved bracelets of silver and their Lord watered them with a purified drink, and it was shown – blessed and exalted – that this is the case of those who worshipped him as a patient and thankful believer.

As for the last purpose of Surah al insan, it was to emphasize that the way to win the paradises of bliss is to worship Allah alone, to draw closer to Him, to pray to Him, to remember Him, to perpetuate praise.

To prostrate and to praise and to forgive, He said: “And remember the name of your Lord with a reel and authenticity, and from the night I worship Him and praise Him for a long night.”

Then he concluded the Surah as he began that he is the Creator and guide of man and that whoever follows his guidance has won in the world and the afterlife, but whoever is lost, infidel, and arrogant as hell and the misery of fate, and this is what he showed – Jal and Ula – in saying.

“We created them and tightened their families and if we want to replace the likes of them with a change * This is a reminder of who wants to take to His Lord away * and what you want is that Allah wills that Allah was wise * He enters whoever he wants in his mercy And the oppressors have prepared a painful torment for them}.

And thus Allah the Almighty affirms that He guides whomever He desires and introduces Him into His mercy and that whoever oppresses Himself, disbelievers and arrogant Allah has prepared a painful torment for Him.
