What Has Been Said About Man In Surah Adiyat? Surah Adiyat (Arabic: سورة العاديات ) The verses of Surat talk about man, his material attributes, his relationship with Allah, his attachment to the world, and his love for collecting money and wealth.

The Prophet urged us to read it because of its spiritual benefits.

If Allah helps his servant to obey him and read his Quran, then this is evidence of his love and choosing to be among his elite.

What is the main theme of Surah Al Adiyat?

The verses of Surah Al Adiyat talk about the consequences that may befall people when they deny the existence and oneness of Allah.

When you confine your life to the world and what is in it, you have lost your relationship with Allah and the misery of life.

It also talks about people being preoccupied with the wealth and blessings that Allah has bestowed upon them, so they become preoccupied with them from worshiping Him.

He threatens His servants with a torment that awaits them in the last of them, and Allah knows what happens in their chests.

The verses were able to describe the infidel man in this world and his love for money, his crawling after it, and his denial of the existence of Allah and his blessings, and all of these attributes link the owner to loss and punishment.

Surah Adiyat Tafseer

Surat Al-Adiyat was started by Allah Almighty with the swearing, yet the name of Allah was not mentioned during its verses.

والعاديات ضبحا {1}

Allah swears in the first verse by adiyat, which is meant by the horses that run very quickly in the face of the enemies, showing their strength and loftiness.

فالموريات قدحا {2}

When horses with strong hooves run, they emit sounds of breathing indicating their strength and speed. The fire is extinguished thanks to those strong hooves that collide with the road.

فالمغيرات صبحا {3}

Those horses that attack and pounce on enemies in the morning.

فأثرن به نقعا{4}

As they run on that road at such high speeds, dust is scattered.

فوسطن به جمعا {5}

So the Safwat advances and mediates the enemy ranks due to its courage, strength, and strong presence during wars.

إن الإنسان لربه لكنود، وإنه على ذلك لشهيد {6}

Man is miserly in carrying out the rights, worship, and obedience of his Allah. Likewise, man is a witness to that, asking in the hereafter or this world, so when you ask a person how are you with Allah, he admits that he is failing in the right of his worship.

Likewise, Allah is a witness to His servants, watching over them, recording their deeds, and seeing their shortcomings. And nothing of the affairs of his servants is hidden from Allah

وإنه لحب الخير لشديد {7}

A person loves to collect money and is keen on all the ways that lead to wealth. There is a difference in the meaning of extreme love for money.

Some believe that a person loves money and collects it and seeks to hoard it, Some see that the meaning is meant by the miser who is strict with the love of money.

أفلا يعلم إذا بعثر مافي القبور {8}

Allah denounces His servants for their actions and feels astonished at what they will do on the Day of Resurrection.

He will bring the dead out of their graves to see the results of their deeds.

Is it possible that they miss fear and dread and work for a day like that and prepare themselves to face it?

وحصل ما في الصدور {9}

On this day, all that man used to hide will be revealed. The deeds are revealed and presented to the decision-maker, and for each, his punishment awaits him in return for his action.

إن ربهم بهم يومئذ لخبير {10}

Allah knows what their chests conceal and what they did in secret and in public, and Allah knows the characteristics of His servants. He knows what is in their hearts and what they intend to do, That is why they are not hidden from Allah.

Hadith on Surah Al Adiyat

There was no authentic hadith from the Messenger regarding Surat Al-Adiyat, but its virtues and goodness were transmitted among its predecessors.

“It was narrated that whoever reads it was given ten good deeds, as many as the number of people who came to Muzdalifah”.

As it was reported on the authority of Ubayy bin Kaab, may Allah be pleased with him, about the virtue of Surah Al-Adiyat in bringing rizk,

Where he said, whoever reads Surat Al-Adiyat will be given a reward as if he reads the Quran, And whoever is addicted to reading it, and owes a debt, may Allah help him to pay it quickly, no matter what.

As it was reported on the authority of some of the predecessors on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet that he said:” Whoever recites it, it is as if he clothed every orphan in my nation, and Allah gave him every verse he recited as a garden in Paradise”.

Al-Hasan Al-Basri also mentioned a hadith on the authority of the Prophet, where he says:“The ordinary things equal half the Quran”.
