As already referred to in the Hadith, and accordingly, the frequent readings are not the diligence of the readers of the companions or followers; although they are attributed to them by a ratio of choice and fame, not a ratio of opinion and ijtihad, knowing that most of the words of the Qur’an were revealed only in one face.

The frequent readings were in some of the words of the Qur’an. The relationship between the Qur’an and the readings can be summarized by saying that they are one fact as a constant revelation from Allah (praise be upon him).

While heterogeneity is in some words whose performance varies from one reading to another, it is no secret that any abnormal and infrequent reading is not from the Qur’an.

It should be noted that during the reign of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, the readings were attributed to them, or to the cities in which they lived, so it was said: Reading Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, or reading the people of Kufa, and after the end of the era of the Companions.

It became attributed to the followers and their followers of the readers because they began to study the readings in various respects. Reading in Medina was known as the reading of the community, the general, or the reading of Zaid ibn Thabet.

Rules for correct reading

The correct reading requires several things, all of which must be achieved, and if any of them is disturbed, then the reading is considered weak, void or anomalous, and the conditions are:

1- Approval of reading to the Arabic language, even in one way, since reading is a year followed, for acceptance of which there is a requirement of attribution, and there is no room for opinion on it.

2- Consent to read to draw the Qur’an, even if it is a possibility, does not require that all the Qur’ans agree, and it is sufficient if the reading agrees to some of them.

3- The validity of the bond; since the reading is a year, both the novel and the Indus must be correct.

Reasons for the difference in readings

The Ummah unanimously agreed on the multiplicity of readings, and the consideration of the frequent ones as a revelation of the divine is constant, and the difference in them comes from receiving from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

The Ten Readings

The ten readers to whom the ten readings are attributed are:

1- Nafi’ ibn Abi Na’im is Nafi’ ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Madani, Abu Ruyim, who died one hundred and sixty-seven years of hijra, he was the sheik of the reciters in Medina.

2- Abu Amr, the son of Alaa al-Basri al-Mazani, died one hundred and forty-five years of hijra, and was known as the master of the readers, and was the imam of Basra, and the most knowledgeable people in the Qur’an, the Arabic language, and was narrated by al-Susi and al-Douri.

3- Hamza ibn Habib al-Zayyat al-Kufi Abu Amara, was Mawla Ikrama, died one hundred and fifty-six years of hijra, a follower of the followers, known for piety and piety, and famous for the science of inheritance and hadith, and took from him: Khalad ibn Khalid, and Khalaf ibn Hisham.

4- Abdullah ibn Amer is nicknamed Abu Imran, and Abu Naim, one of the followers, took the reading about Mughira al-Makhzoumi, about Uthman ibn Affan, about the Prophet (peace.

And blessings of Allaah be upon him), and some said that he read about Uthman, whose death was one hundred and eighteen years old, and from his disciples: Hisham and Ibn Thakwan.

5- Ibn Qadir al-Makki, Abdullah ibn Qadir al-Dari, and Abu Muhammad, met with a number of companions, such as Anas ibn Malik, Abdullah ibn al-Zubair, and Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, he was the imam of the people by reading in Mecca, and he was known for his reverence and tranquility.

7- Ali ibn Hamza al-Kassai is Abu al-Hassan, Mawla Bani Assad, who taught the language to the people of his time, and the imam of Muslims in readings, and he assumed the presidency of reading after the death of his sheik Hamza ibn Habib in Kufa.

8- Abu Jaafar al-Madani is Yazid ibn al-Qaqa’a, Mawla ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Rabia al-Makhzoumi, he was the imam of the people of Medina by reading, my follower, he began reading sixty-three years of hijra.

And he was a mufti and mujtahid, called by the mother of the believers um Salama with blessing. He was known for his frequent resurrection and fasting and narrated about Abu Hurayra, the son of Abbas.

Narrated by Abu Dawood (1/281), al-Tarmadi (146), al-Nisa’i (1/144), Ibn Maja (1/207), Ahmad (1/84) Ibn Khuzima (1/104) al-Tirmidhi said: Hadith of Hasan is true, and Hafez Ibn Hajar said: The truth is that it is like Hassan fit for argument.

2- What is narrated from the hadith of Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with them) is that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Neither menstruating women nor the side read anything from the Qur’an”.

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (131), Ibn Maja (595), al-Darqtani (1/117), and al-Bayhaqi (1/89), which is a weak hadith because it is from Ismail ibn Ayyash’s account of the Hijazis.

And his account of them is weak, Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (21/460) said: It is a weak hadith by the agreement of the people who know the hadith. Seen: Monument of the Banner 1/195 and Summarizing the Ink 1/183.

Some scholars have argued that it is permissible for menstruating men to read the Qur’an, which is Malik’s doctrine, and a novel about Ahmad chosen by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and his probable al-Shukani, and inferred this by, inter alia:

1- That the original is permissible and the solution until there is evidence of prohibition and there is no evidence that prevents the menstruating woman from reading the Qur’an, Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said.

Not in preventing menstruating women from reading explicit texts are true, and he said: It is known that women were incubating the reign of the Messenger.

Of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and he did not forbid them from reading the Qur’an, nor did he forbid them from mentioning and praying.

2- Allah the Almighty ordered the recitation of the Qur’an, praised the following, and promised him a great reward.

So that only those who have been proven in right to do so are prevented from doing so by the evidence and there is nothing to prevent the menstruating woman from reading as presented.

3- The measurement of menstruation on pleurisy in the prohibition from reading the Qur’an is measured with the difference because of pleurisy by choosing.

To remove this inhibitor by washing other than menstruation, as well as the menstruation may be prolonged often, unlike pleurisy it is ordered to wash when attending the time of prayer.

4- That in preventing the menstruating woman from reading is a missed wage for her and may have been exposed to forgetting something from the Qur’an or needing to read in the event of teaching or learning.

From the foregoing, it is clear the strength of the evidence of the statement of those who went to the permissibility of menstruating women to read the Qur’an, and if the woman was careful and limited herself to reading when she feared forgetting it, she took precautions.

It is worth mentioning that the foregoing in this matter concerns the menstruating woman’s reading of the Qur’an by heart while reading from the Qur’an has another provision, as it is more likely than the words of the people of science to prohibit touching the Qur’an.

To the modernizer for the general saying: “It is not touched except by purifiers” and for what is stated in the book of Amr ibn Hazm, which was written by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to the people of Yemen.

In which he said: “The Qur’an shall not be touched except by Tahir” narrated by Malik 1/199, al-Nisa’i 8/57, Ibn Habban 793 and al-Bayhaqi 1/87 Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said.

The hadith was corrected by a group of imams in terms of fame, and Shafi’i said: It was proved to them that it is the book of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr said: This is a famous book among the people of Sir known to the people of science knowledge that dispenses with its fame from attribution because it is more like the frequency of people receiving it with acceptance and knowledge. 

The Albanian sheikh said about him: True. Summarizing al-Hubayr 4/17 and see Monument of the banner 1/196 Irwa al-Ghalil 1/158.
