Inshallah is a common term among Muslims, and it means proving the will of Allah in future matters, as Muslims believe that everything that will happen in the future is predestined and written by Allah the Creator, where the occurrence of things is linked to His will and will. 

Inshahallah is also attached to supplication, and this term is similar to another common term, which is Allah willing, and Muslims believe that there is no difference between the two terms, as they both have the same meaning and Quranic usage. 

Inshaallah is also used in Judaism and Christianity in the same meaning and differs in pronunciation.

Ishallah means: to comment on any matter that a Muslim wants to do in the future on the will of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty said: And do not say to anything, “I will do it tomorrow * unless Allah wills.”.

The use of the word ( anshallah) is when we do something ourselves or interfere with it personally.. As Allah Almighty says: 

  • “The cows are similar to us, and inhsallah, we will be guided.” That is, they will slaughter the cow themselves. 
  • And as the Almighty said: “He said, ‘Enter Egypt, ,insahallah in safety’.” That is, they will enter.
  • And as Allah Almighty says: “You will find me, insh alla, patient, and I will not disobey you in any command.” 
  • And as Allah Almighty says: “You will find me, inshalalh, among the patient ones,” meaning he will be patient. And many more in the Qur’an.

inshallah in Arabic

The word “insshallah” was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, in his saying: 

  • And do not say anything that I am doing that tomorrow. ۝3 except that Allah wills and remember your Lord when you forget and say, may Allah be guided by Allah. 

﴿وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ لِشَيْءٍ إِنِّي فَاعِلٌ ذَلِكَ غَدًا ۝٢٣ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ إِذَا نَسِيتَ وَقُلْ عَسَى أَنْ يَهْدِيَنِ رَبِّي لِأَقْرَبَ مِنْ هَذَا رَشَدًا ۝٢٤﴾ [الكهف:23–24]

  • They said: “Call upon your Lord for us, to make clear to us what they are. Indeed, cows are alike to us, and if inchalla, cows look alike.” (Al-Baqarah 2:70)

﴿قَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَنَا مَا هِيَ إِنَّ الْبَقَرَ تَشَابَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَمُهْتَدُونَ ۝٧٠﴾ [البقرة:70]

According to the book “The Roots of Gold”- by Ibn Hisham, the meaning of the act is the creation of a person who created the creation, i.e. finding, and from it the saying of Allah (we created them by creating).

It is this if we write (inshallah) it means that we say that we have found Allah – Allah almighty is great – and this is not true.

As for what is true is that we write (hopefully) that we achieve here the will of Allah Almighty, and the meaning of the act (tongue of the Arabs) is stated in the dictionary of the act will.

So when we write (hopefully) it is as if we say by the will of Allah we do so and from him the saying of Allah Almighty (and what he wants except that Allah wills).

There is a difference between the two verbs (create any grandfather) and the act (if any will) we must write (hopefully) and avoid writing (inshaallah) for previous reasons

It forbade the holy street to suspend the prayers of will because of the illusion of dispensing with Allah forgiveness and mercy, and ordered him to make sure of the issue;

“But to resolve and to maximize desire, Allah is not magnified by something he has given.” Abu Abbas al-Qartabi said in “The Understanding”:

“The Prophet (PBUH) has refrained from this statement because it shows the lack of desire and the lack of accusations required as if this statement includes.

That this is what is required if it happens, otherwise it will be dispensed with, and whoever is in this situation has not been verified by the lack and necessity that is the spirit of prayer worship, which was evidence of his lack of concern for his sins, the mercy of his Lord, and also that he is not sure of the answer.

He said: “Pray to Allah and you are sure of the answer and know that Allah does not respond to a prayer from a heart that is oblivious to him,” moreover, the Prophet (PBUH) did not stop doing so until he ordered his opposite and said: Let him pray, i.e., to assert his request.

To achieve his desire and to be sure of the answer, if he does so, he will be aware of as much as he is asked for forgiveness and mercy, and that he lacks what he asks for, and he is obliged to do so, and Allah has promised the one who has to answer by saying: “Security answers the obliged if he calls him.””

He said: “Allah is the maker of what he wants, not his will,” a show of the uselessness of restricting forgiveness and mercy by will, because Allah does not force him to do anything, prayer or otherwise.

But does what he wants and rules what he wants, and therefore Allah restricts the answer by will in saying: {So he reveals what you call for if he wishes}.

It makes no sense to require his will in this way. As for the Prophet’s saying to the Arab: “It is okay, the purity of hopefully”, is not a matter of prayer, but news and hope, because the disease may be pure for some people without each other.

Who is patient and has been forgiven, and who is angry and indignant at the fates of Allah Almighty has not been cleansed by the disease. Clarification to explain the correct mosque:

“As for his saying to the Arab: “It is okay for you, the purity of hopefully”, if he wants him with his illness, Allah atones for his sins, dismisses him, and delays his death, so the exception is on the dismissal and release he hoped for because the disease is known to be an atonement for sins.

Although the exception may be in the sense of a willful response to Allah, and in the answer of the Arabist, there is evidence of what we have said: “It is a protection that is exalted against a great sheik.

Who is buried in graves”, i.e., not as I hoped for dismissal? And saying, “Yes, then” is proof that he said, “It’s okay with you,” that he’s on the path of hope, not the news of the unseen.

how to pronounce inshallah?

Before knowing the correct way to pronounce a word, inshahallah, it is necessary to know its linguistic syntax: En: the letter of a definitive condition, based on the sukoon, which has no place in the syntax. 

Will: a past tense verb based on the apparent conquest, in place of the conditional verb. Allah: the word majesty, a subject raised, and the sign of raising the dammah appearing at the end of it.

Is it good to say Insha Allah?

It is good for a Muslim to repeat the word, ishallah, always. As for using  anshallah, it is as follows: 

In worship, there is no objection to saying: inhsallah, I will pray, God willing, I will be silent. Because he does not know whether he completed it and accepted it or not. 

The believers were excluded in their faith and fasting; Because they do not know whether they have completed it or not, so one of them says: Be silent, Allah willing, and says I am a believer, insahallah

As for the thing that does not require mentioning the will, such as saying: I sold, insh alla – this does not need that, or he says: I had lunch or dinner, inshalalh, this does not need to say a word, insshallah.

Because these matters do not need a will in the news about them, because they are ordinary matters that he has done and finished with, unlike matters of worship that he does not know whether he fulfilled or underestimated?

If he says, inchalla, it is to seek blessings in His Name, Glory be to Him, and to beware of claiming something that he has not completed or fulfilled his right.

It is desirable for those who want to do something or expect it to happen in the future to comment on the will of Allah, as he said to him:

And I said to you, Messenger of Allah, that you come to me and pray in my house and take it as a chapel. The messenger of Allah peace be upon him said to him I will do hopefully The talk is agreed.

Al-Nukei said in a Muslim commentary: It is advisable for a man to say, “I will do so, but hopefully to the one who is blessed and to comply with the saying of Allah: And do not say anything that I will do tomorrow unless Allah wishes.

In the true fact that the Messenger of Allah said: Suleiman bin Daoud said, “Let us have a hundred or ninety-nine women tonight hopefully, all of whom come with a knight who strives for Allah, and his owner said to him, “hopefully, he did not say hopefully;”You will find me hopefully patient hopefully,” Moses said.

It shows from all that he mentioned the legitimacy of saying hopefully what to do in the future, but that is not a duty. Therefore, there is no blame in leaving him;

how to write inshallah?

The word “insh alla” in the exception hopefully is different from the word “inchalla” in the image and meaning. The first is two words: the condition tool (n) and the act of the condition (will).

The second is one word. As for the meaning, the first of them comes to comment on something on the will of Allah Almighty, and the second means creation as the questioner mentioned, thus showing that it is correct to write it (hopefully) and that it is a grave mistake to write it one word (insh alla) so be aware.

Perhaps it is appropriate to mention some of what has been said about this word, including First, to direct Allah almighty to this kind of literature, in his saying: And do not say anything that I will do tomorrow unless Allah wishes.

In his book The Provisions of the Qur’an, Al-Jassas said about this exception: Allah taught us this to ask for the success of things when told about them in the future by mentioning the exception that is Allah’s will.

Second: What Bukhari and Muslims narrated about Abu Huraira, may Allah rest his soul: About the Prophet, he said: Suleiman bin Daoud, the prophet of Allah, said: Let us tonight be on seventy women, all of whom come with a child fighting for Allah.

And his owner, or the king, said: Say hopefully, he did not say and forget, and none of his women came, but one of his women came, she came with a boy’s slit, and the Messenger of Allah said: If he said: hopefully did not mourn, and he was aware of his need.

That is, to follow up and to achieve his need and desire. Al-Hafiz said in the conquest: Some of the predecessors said: “In this hadith, he warned against the scourge of wishing, and the objection to delegation, he said: Therefore, he forgot the exception so that fate would go ahead.

when to use inshallah?

The scholars said that the word insh alla hopefully be obligatory once, once it is not permissible, and again it is not in the passport box or in the category of duty but is completely out of the question.

Yes. If a man wants to create a work in the future, he must, as a matter of literature with Allah almighty, mention “hopefully Almighty”, for example: “I will visit you next Saturday hopefully.”

Why should I mention hopefully coming here? Because he does not know whether he lives until then, or is he able to do so or not?

He also said: “And don’t say anything that I will do it tomorrow unless God wills.” (Al-Aitan, 23,24 of Surah al-Kahf).

Sites where it is not permissible to mention the hopeful are such as: to say to the owner who did him a favor: “Allah rewards you with good hope.”

Why can’t it be like this? Because it is as if he hates Allah or takes him out, and Allah forbid, he should do that to his servant, and in this, there is a lack of manners with Allah Almighty, and it is forbidden to do so.

And in the hadith that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “If one of you calls, he does not say, “O Allah, forgive me if you will, and mercy me if you will, and rest me if you will, and let him resolve his issue, that he does what he wants and does not hate him.” (Narrated by Bukhari).

It is a language that some people say: “I was in the last month hopefully Almighty”, or: “I prayed my prayers for the sacrifice hopefully,” or he says, “Do you want to have lunch now hopefully?”

What reminds him of the wording of the past or the questioning of such worship is a language of speech, because it benefits nothing.

When to say Alhamdllah?

First: When you are free of food and drink: In the Prophet’s Sunnah, there were several formulas for thanking Allah when he finished the food, and my father, Imam al-Bahli, may Allah bless him, said: “The Prophet as if he had finished his food, and he once said: 

If he raised his table, he said: “Thank Allah, who has provided us with our help and our opinions, is not enough or rewarded.” He once said: “Thank Allah, our Lord, is not enough, nor is he deposited or dispensed, our Lord.”””

Second: When you wake up:

Waking up is a great blessing, a blessing that urges the Muslim to manage the grace of survival, so he increases the good deeds, so Abu Zar al-Ghafari, may Allah bless him, said: 

“The Prophet, peace be upon him, if he took his bed from the night, said: O Allah in your name I die and live.” If he wakes up, he says: “Thank Allah, who sometimes after our mother and to him the shore.”.

Third: When you wake up at night: A specific formula was received when waking up at night, which is a reason for forgiveness and acceptance of prayer, about the worship of ibn al-Silent, may Allah rest his soul, he said: 

“Whoever is loaned from the night said when he wakes up: There is no Allah but Allah alone, he has no partner, he has the king, and he has praised and he is almighty for everything, glory be to Allah.

And there is no Allah but Allah, And Allah is greater, and there is no power but Allah, and then he called: Allah forgive me, answer him if he does, he goes up, then he prays, I accept his prayers.

Fourth: When wearing the dress

Thank Allah, king of kings, for the grace of clothes, is something that the Muslim is reasonable to wear, and this holy year of abandoned years that we should learn and teach to the parents and Muslims.

For Moaz ibn Anas al-Juhani, may Allah bless him, said: “Whoever wears a dress said: Thank Allah who has made me this, and he has given me without any power and forgiven him for his sin and what has been delayed.”

Fifth: Make every prayer:

There is a formula for the memory of Allah, including the praise of Allah, who has arranged every prayer, which is the reason for the forgiveness of sins, even if it is like the butter of the sea, so what do we need to persevere with. 

Then Abu Hurayra said: “Whoever praised Allah on the day of each prayer is thirty-three and thank Allah, and Allah has grown thirty-three. For everything, I have forgiven his sins, even if they are like shea butter.

Sixth: At sneezing

About Abu Hurra, may Allah rest his soul, he said: The Prophet said, “If one of you sneezes, say, “Thank Allah, and say to him, “May his brother or his companion say, “Allah bless you, and if he says to him, “May Allah rest your soul, say, “Allah guide you and fix your mind.”

Seventh: When you see my amputee: When seeing the afflicted from the signs of the slave’s awareness of the grace of Allah, and formula was provided for praise when seeing the afflicted, the Muslim is in the group of thanks to Allah for his grace.

Eighth: At every grace:

The Muslim must be blessed with every blessing from Allah, this is the approach of the prophets and the messengers of peace, and the approach of the righteous servants, may Allah bless them all, said. 

(They said thank Allah, who goes from us sadness that our Lord is for the forgiveness of Thanks) [Fater:34], and Allah said: “Thank Allah who gave me to the great Ismail and Isaac that my Lord is the one who listens to prayers” [Abraham:39]

And Allah said: And say thank Allah he will show you his verses so you will know them and your Lord is oblivious to what you are doing)

Ninth: When remembering and managing the names and recipes of Allah: For the sake of the citizen, thank Allah, he managed the names and qualities of Allah, and he managed the beautiful creation of his creation and his great ability.

And as Allah said: “Thank Allah, he has conquered the heavens and the earth, and the angels have made the first messengers, two wings, three and four, which increase in creation what he wants, Allah is capable of everything.”

To summarise, It is politeness with Allah – Almighty – to say: (inshallah) when you tell about something you intend to do in the future, by saying: {And don’t say anything, I will do it tomorrow* unless Allah wants”inshahallah“} [Cave: 23 – 24].

Sheikh Al-Saadi says: “Allah forbid that the servant will say in future matters: “I will do this tomorrow” without acknowledging it, inshaallah, because it is reserved to talk about future disadvantages.

Which the slave does not know whether to do or not? And there is a reaction to the will of the slave independently and that is forbidden and forbidden because the will is all.

What indicates the importance of this literature, and that it is that Allah – Glory be to Him – has excluded in his words, and he said: {Allah has believed His Messenger, the Right, to the right to enter the mosque, the forbidden, if the forbidden, if the forbidden, Allah bless you.
